Gardening

I was so happy when I got up this morning and looked outside......Sunshine! It's not that it's been raining a lot lately, but I haven't been able to plant anything when my hands were infected. So I packed the kids into the car and went to Superstore to look for some nice plants. I got quite a few things for not that much, so I splurged on a stepping stone with Elmo on it.....Kiki loves it of course. Then we came home and met Josh and his mom, and the kids & I went out to the backyard. They played while I planted, and by then it was lunch time. I love the way my beautiful flowers look, and can't wait for them to grow bigger. I just hope that I planted them well enough and far apart enough. I guess we'll have to wait and see...maybe I'll take some pictures when they get bigger.....that gives me an idea! I'm going to take some pictures of the whole house once I'm completely done painting and post them on here. Then I can show off my lovely painting job! lol Well, I should go get something else done...perhaps some painting, speaking of it.

I hate titles!

I've been sitting here trying to deceide what the heck to name my blog, and unfortunately that's the best I could come up with! Lol Well, finally back into the swing of things completely after three weeks of horrible impetigo and then healing. I have full use of my hands again, and thanks to anyone that prayed for me! I cleaned Aunt Bev's yesterday and did 5 loads of laundry while there! I'm amazed at the amount of laundry 2 people can go through in a week. It's a good thing that I love doing laundry....I know, I'm weird! Then today has been spent cleaning and organizing my own house. After I'm finished with this blog, I need to start on paperwork....I'm trying to make a better budget, because I need to save as much money as possible for next February. Kent is getting married in Australia, and he wants the kids to be in his wedding....it's going to cost an arm and a leg to pay to get there, so I better start saving NOW! Guess that means I won't be going to Starbucks for my favorite Grande Soy Chai Latte for a while :( lol oh well, I think I'll live! Anyway, I should get started on that so that I'm ready to go grocery shopping as soon as Ty gets home from work. That's all for now! Have a great day! PS...I know this picture doesn't go with my blog at all, but isn't it cute?? lol

Happy Days

Well, I can finally say that my hands are better! Not 100%, but compared to what they were last week at this time, it's amazing. It's so nice to be able to feel useful around the house again, and actually be able to do my hair! I started cleaning Ty's Auntie Bev's house on Monday, and it was a bit tiring. I'm not used to cleaning an entire house in a whole day, and with two kids around it's a bit much. But it's an extra $200 a month, and any extra money helps. I actually wouldn't mind one or two other clients so that I was cleaning 4 hours a day for 3 days a week.....or even two in one day. I like jobs that I can do with the kids along, cause I hate the thought of working just to pay for child care. I'm actually thinking of going to school in the fall of 2007 for Hairdressing, but we'll have to see how my excema is acting by then. I would love to be able to work from my home so I could take care of it and be there when my kids get home from school. Anyway, now that my hands are better, I'm baking bread homemade from scratch, and need to get to it.

Yucky Days

This is going to be a short blog, because it's really hard to type today. Unfortunately I have been given impatago from Kiki, who got it from Austin, who got it from Josh, who got it at preschool. We didn't realize what it was until I got it, because with the boys it was not a bad case and it was gone very quickly. They had it under their noses, and I have gotten it all over my hands. I can barely move them for the last few days, so it's almost impossible to type, do dishes, do my hair, do anything! I don't want to touch food either, because it's a highly contagious skin condition. The only thing I can do is wait it out and put cream on it. It's very frustrating not to be able to use my hands hardly at all. Would you all please keep Kiara and I in your prayers?

Four already?

I can't believe it! On Sunday, Austin is turning four years old! It's amazing how fast time flies when kids are little. We're planning to take him and the other three kids (Celina, Josh and Kiki) to Jumpin Jiminy's (it's like Let's Play in Calgary) for some fun on the slides and lots of running around. They just love that place, and it's fun for Ty and me as well....we get right into it and end up playing tag. The last time we went, a couple of other kids we didn't know asked to join in! I would so much rather be out there playing with the kids than sitting and watching....maybe it shows how old I really am! Lol This being March now, it means that in a little over a month, my baby girl is going to turn 2! Now THAT'S scary! It's amazing how many different words she can say lately...I think having three older kids around has really helped to improve her vocabulary. Last night she hit Josh on the head with something, and was sent to her room for a time out. When I went up to get her, I told her she should say sorry to Josh. She came downstairs, went right up to him, and said in the cutest little voice, "Sorry Shosh" (that's how she says Josh). All Ty and I could do was say "AWWWWW". lol She's just too cute! Cute and eating me out of house and home! I can't believe how much she and Austin can eat in a day....they graze all day long! I'm scared to think of how much they're going to eat when they're teens! Yikes! Well, I suppose I should go make myself useful and clean or something....started my gardening the other day when it was beautiful out, and now it's gone and started raining, so that's out for today anyway. But a mother's work is never done!
