Kiara

Ok, so for some reason our scanner isn't working the way I'd like it to, and I'm not sure why. So the pictures for this post are going to be a bit weird. But they are still too cute for words! We entered Kiki in the Most Photogenic Baby in Nanaimo contest last week, and Nana and Papa are paying for the package of pictures. The prize was crazy, but the pics so cute we couldn't resist! Celina was entered in the contest 8 years ago and got her pic on the calender. They don't do calenders anymore, as the guy who used to make them had a stroke, but the still have the contest. We'll find out on Saturday if she won or made it to the top three in her age category....she'll get a trophy for winning and the top three kids in each age category will get a gift basket. Anyway, here's the pics! Enjoy!

Yet another trip!

Well, once again the kids and I will be heading west to visit the folks, but this time I'm happy to say that Ty will be able to come with us! We are leaving Thursday after he's done work and driving all night til we get to Nanton. There are two reasons we are going out, but the main one is my brother Kent and Tasha's pre-wedding reception. All of the family and close friends that won't be able to get to Australia are going to be there, and we orginally thought it would be our only chance to see their reception. There is, however, a sliver of hope that we might make it to Australia. We're saving every penny til February, and with my parent's matching what we save, we think it might be possible. The fact that Ty just got a raise is probably going to help a great deal. He is now the foreman of his crew, and got a 2 dollar an hour raise! Not too shabby, if I do say so myself! lol Anyway, just wanted to give a quick update cause I've been really bad at blogging lately. It's just been crazy around here with school starting and Austin being in preschool two days a week now. Plus we have Josh and Celina every second week, which means I get to play taxi driver constantly. Well, the kids are sleeping, so I think it's time for a nap myself. Bye!
